This year, SPW supported more than 800 volunteer Peer Educators across 8 African and South Asian countries, directly impacting more than 400,000 children and youth, and delivering crucial health and environmental messages to over 1 million people.

Uganda: 25 Community Action Groups and 10 Wildlife Clubs worked with Peer Educators to conduct 3298 environmental resource activities.

Nepal: 102 Green Clubs, self-sustained youth groups set up by SPW Peer Educators, were active with a membership of 12,240 young people.

India: Head Teacher and Parent workshops and Leadership Camps for young people supplemented the school-based aspects of the programme and directly involved the wider community.

Tanzania: SHEP: 4,341 ASRH sessions, 3,336 Extra Curricular Activities and 1,954 formal subject lessons were conducted in the 57 placement schools.

Zimbabwe: Youth week festivals were held at 5 sites and over 100 awareness-raising events were led by SPW Peer Educators and local youth.

Zambia: SPW Peer Educators established Youth Resource Centres in 60 schools giving 36,000 children access to essential health information.

South Africa: 70 school AIDS Action Clubs were established with over 2660 members.

UK: More than 200 returned volunteers led campaigns through 19 Student Stop AIDS Societies on university campuses across the UK.

USA: SPW returned volunteers toured university campuses as part of the University Coalitions for Global Health speaker tour.

Australia: SPW formed a partnership with Australian Volunteers International to promote opportunities for young Australians on SPW programmes.
