 Faith-based Organizations
SPW volunteers work closely with faith-based groups in most of its target communities in Africa and South Asia. As a faith-based organization here in North America, there are a number of ways you can support SPW’s work. Consider holding a collection for SPW, sponsoring a volunteer to go on one of our programs or sponsoring members of your congregation to participate in fundraising events for SPW, such as a marathon or triathlon. Service Organizations
It costs $2,600 to support a national (local) volunteer on a nine-month placement with SPW. SPW has over 800 African and Asian volunteers in the field annually. By sponsoring one of these volunteers to participate in the SPW program within their own country, you are not only providing vital financial assistance but you can also gain a sense of involvement in SPW's work and really see your money in action in the field: In return for your support you will receive: - Background on your sponsored volunteer or project.
- Progress reports from your project or volunteer.
- General information about the work of SPW.
